While I was away, a dear friend of mine asked to borrow a car
from me to head to Dubai. I never like to refuse a request.
later than night I received a phone call from him asking me for
forgiveness. His voice was shaky and filled with remorse... I
worried about him more than the car..but he kept on talking
about how sorry he was. I sympathized him and tried to give him
emotional comfort by not mentioning anything about my car and
confiding any unhappiness that has stricken me. I kept repeating
to him that it's just a chunk of metal, and that the most
important thing is that he came out safe after this tragic
accident.. Sadly I still sense that hideous guilt he feels.
