Love Between the Past and Present

18/1/2005

I decided to update from my current location and not wait until I reach back home. The flight was fine and I really enjoyed the new experience with Qatar airways.

 Wrote to his wife:
''
The theatre and the amphitheatre on the golden brown rocks so close to the sea - and what a beautiful sea! - the beautiful grounds laid out before the museum, and the mosaics preserved in it, would have won even your difficult admiration.''
Love in the past was very different from now. We heard a lot about love stories in the past like Romeo and Juliet, Majnoun Laila, Antar and Abla. Many love stories from the past give us vast examples of how true love was in the past. Love meant sacrifice, as plain as that is. It also meant never giving up, or never loosing faith. Nowadays, everything is different. Love has become materialistic, and as time passes the word love has had different meanings. People love for different reasons now. Some men have used the word love in order to fool girls and get as many as they can.
True love has become very scarce nowadays, specially in our societies. People love for money, looks, sometimes for the social status. I wonder what kind of meaning will love hold in the next ten years?

A shot is never really good unless the camera is an eye in the head of a poet

One of the weaknesses of our society is
that history is still news to most people

The vital matter of history is not what happened but what people thought or said about it
