فقيد الوطن صاحب السمو الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان الذي
أنتقل إلى رحمة الله مساء الثلاثاء الموافق 2\11\2004
تغمد الله فقيد الوطن بواسع رحمته وأدخله فسيح جناته
وإنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون

توفى في الشهر الذي انزل فيه القرآن
توفى في شهر الطاعه والغفران
نال أجمل ما في نفس المؤمن.. هو الوفاه في رمضان
تبكي العيون فقدان خير الشيوخ.. رحم الله خير قائد و أعز والد
 رحمك الله يا بوخليفة

I haven't shed a tear since I heard the disturbing news.. And I haven't cried so much like I have cried tonight while I was reading the Quran at Shiekh Zayed's grave.. My whole body was trembling.. Tears started to fall without me managing to hold them back ..It was a nightmare that I wished I would wake up from..Being at the grave forced the reality of the great loss of our father who guided us to all what we are today.. I just had to accept that this is Allah's will.
